Junior Data Analyst (Agriculture) at Summit Human Resource & Marketing Consultant

Our client is a data analytics, and research organization, based in Nairobi. They are looking for a Data Analyst, who will drive analytics function by generating data-driven insights to guide commercial and operating strategy; developing metrics dashboards, and statistical analyses; and helping to shape their overall vision & strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for using a wide range of data and evidence tools, including the use of advanced data analytics to help decision-makers in the organizations’ operations and rigorously test what works to support the business process. He/she must have 2-3 years of working experience in a similar role within the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build models to identify trends, forecast performance, and identify improvements to company strategy, products, and operations
• Design and run data analyses to guide decision-making
• Design and prepare company dashboards and other key stakeholder reporting
• Design and develop automation tools to streamline day-to-day activities
• Identify and coordinate data infrastructure improvements with the software team, by supporting them in accessing, understanding, and utilizing data.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and overall integrity of business metrics
• Develop and maintain business intelligence documentation, training materials, best practices, and overall data toolkit.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or other related fields.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proven ability in data analytics, visualization and reporting
• Skilled in SQL, Python or any database Manipulation Language
• Experience with visualization tools (Analogyx, Power Bi, Tableau etc.)
• Ability to create energy and maintain energy (Enthusiasm)
• Excellent communications and presentation skills
• Strong creativity skills and idea generation
