Job Role Description

The overall purpose of this role is to drive the MD in a safe and timely manner.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive keeping the road safety regulations all the time.
• Be punctual and be at least 15 minutes before the designated time and place.
• Display good behavior, excellent manners, and a helping attitude.
• Maintain strict confidentiality on all conversations and information heard during transport assignments.
• Arrange for vehicle care and maintenance (i.e., oil change, tire rotation, cleaning, etc.)
• Maintain awareness of current road systems and conditions by monitoring news and traffic reports, and adjusting routes as necessary to avoid delays.
• Candidates should be attentive and available on an immediate call basis at any time including weekends.
• Execute any other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director from time to time.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Minimum of a certificate or diploma in a business-related field
• Valid driving license

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB COMPETENCIES

• Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course
• Passed Suitability Test for Driver
• Valid police clearance certificate
• A clean driving record
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations
• Defensive driving is an added advantage
