    Knowledge Management Officer

    Summary of Role:  

    Pathfinder International is seeking an experienced Knowledge Management Officer for the anticipated USAID-funded Accelerating ChoiCe, Equity, and Sustainability for Services (ACCESS) project. The purpose of this project is to improve sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and related health outcomes among adolescents and youth and other underrepresented and underserved populations by advancing excellence, innovation, and best practices in service delivery.

    The Knowledge Management Officer will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and dissemination of project knowledge and information. This role involves developing and implementing knowledge management strategies, facilitating learning and knowledge sharing among project staff and stakeholders, and leveraging data and insights to improve programmatic outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Knowledge Management and Learning Facilitation

    • Develops and implements knowledge management strategies to capture, organize, and disseminate project information, best practices, and lessons learned.
    • Facilitates learning and knowledge sharing activities among project staff, partners, and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

    Communication, Coordination and Collaboration

    • Designs and maintains knowledge management systems and platforms, ensuring easy access to relevant resources and information for project teams.
    • Coordinates the collection, analysis, and synthesis of project data and information to generate insights and support evidence-based decision-making.

    Capacity Building: 

    • Provides training and capacity-building support to project staff on knowledge management tools and techniques, promoting effective use of knowledge resources.

    Reporting: 

    • Monitors and evaluate the impact of knowledge management initiatives, using feedback and metrics to inform programmatic adjustments and improvements.
    • Prepares regular reports on knowledge management activities and contributes to project progress reports as required.

    Required Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in information science, knowledge management, public health, or a related field
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in knowledge management or information management, preferably in the context of international development projects.
    • Demonstrated experience with knowledge management systems and tools.
    • Experience working with databases, data visualization tools, and other information management technologies.
    • Strong understanding of knowledge management principles and practices, with experience in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies
    • Proficiency in information management systems and tools, with the ability to design and maintain knowledge repositories and databases.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Fluency in verbal and written English

    Preferred Competence and Work Experience:

    • Master's degree preferred in information science, knowledge management, public health, or a related field.
    • Experience working with international donors, particularly USAID-funded projects.
    • Knowledge of USAID policies and procedures related to knowledge management and information sharing.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Travel required (10% or less)
