The Laboratory Technologist will provide accurate, timely, and quality diagnostic laboratory services to support clinical decision-making. This role involves specimen analysis, adherence to SOPs, quality control, and effective communication within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic analysis on clinical specimens in accordance with SOPs and GCLP standards
Maintain and manage laboratory equipment, reagents, and inventory
Ensure timely release and accuracy of laboratory reports
Participate in quality improvement, audits, and adherence to safety protocols
Maintain professional licensure and continuous professional development
Promote excellent customer service and interdepartmental collaboration
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
Certification in Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) and Basic Life Support
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Laboratory Technologist
Proficiency in laboratory information systems and MS Office
Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
