Manager, Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations at Trade and Development Bank (TDB)

Job Summary

Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations Department is responsible for membership expansion, equity raising from institutional shareholders, establishing and managing strategic partners as well as enhancing the Bank's brand through marketing and communication activities.

Reporting to the Group Executive, Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations, the Manager, Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations, is primarily responsible for the operations of the CAIR Department. The position is key in creating processes and practices to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the CAIR Department, facilitate change, and control costs.

Responsibilities

The Manager performs the following duties:

• Develop and maintain needed standard operating procedures and policies for the efficient operation of the Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations Department (CAIR), and continually review existing practices for process improvement.
• Report on key operational and substantive metrics for the CAIR Department that will better inform decision-making, including matter and work product analyses.
• Provide project management support for key initiatives led or supported by the CAIR Department.
• Develop and enforce processes and policies to manage external and internal usage and spend.
• Assist with budget matters and optimizing workflows within the CAIR Department.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Lending Operations, General Counsel, Portfolio Management, Compliance and Risk Management, People and Organizational Development, Compliance and Risk Management, Information Technology, and Finance Management as well as various business units such as coverage teams.
• Regular monitoring and reporting of the performance of the CAIR Department on its agreed annual targets / balance scorecard.
• Where required, representing CAIR Department in relation to any Bank-wide operations related initiatives / projects, including on any associated committees / groups / task forces of the Bank.

Qualifications and Competencies

• A Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Banking, Development, Finance, or Economics with relevant professional qualifications as added advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience and proven track record in a commercial/financial/advisory institution and/or public sector financial/investment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently move projects forward by gaining support needed from others while working in a cross functional role.
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups.
• Strong experience in developing, implementing, and using technology solutions and tools (e.g., Electronic billing, matter management, electronic documents and records management system, document assembly tools, eSignature solutions).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is a requirement. Knowledge of TDB Group's other working languages (French or Portuguese) would be an added advantage.
