Job Requirements

1. ACADEMIC    BACHELOR- LAW (LLB)
2. ACADEMIC    MASTERS- LAW (LLB)
3. DIPLOMA    Post Diploma in Law
4. EXPERIENCE    Have a minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) years should be in management;
5. INTEGRITY    Fulfil the requirements of Chapter of the Constitution
6. PROF    An Advocate of the High Court
7. SKILLS    Be Proficient in computer application
8. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Strategic thinking;
9. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Analytical skills;
10. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Strong communication and reporting skills;
11. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Strong managerial skills and ability to lead teams;
12. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Mentoring, coaching and leadership skills;
13. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Team player
14. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Interpersonal and negotiation skills and
15. TRAINING    Have attended management course lasting not less four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution; (vi) Proficiency in computer applications;

Job Responsibilities

Responsibility Description

• Developing and implementing Regulations and guidelines to facilitate licensing of all legal programmes and legal education providers;
• Developing and implementing criteria for recognition and approval of foreign qualifications in law;
• Receiving and reviewing all applications for recognition, equation and licensing of foreign legal qualifications in Kenya and make recommendations to the Director;
• Developing and implementing the criteria for licensing of institutions for remedial programme;
• Developing and implementing criteria for licensing of institutions for new and emerging programmes in legal education and training;
• Administering quality standards for approval for legal training providers; and
• Coordinating under the guidance of the Director, the process of reviewing and processing applications for approval by training providers
