    Market Systems Young Professionals/Consultants (2 Positions) – Global Programs

    Responsibilities

    IFDC is seeking a dynamic and motivated Young Professional to provide support to the Market Systems Director. As a young consultant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the director in various aspects of market systems development and agriculture-related projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on market trends, agricultural value chains, and emerging opportunities. Analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making.
    • Project Support: Assist in the implementation of market systems development projects. This includes organizing meetings, workshops, and field visits, as well as coordinating project activities.
    • Data Management: Manage and maintain databases related to market systems projects, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of critical information.
    • Report Preparation: Collaborate with the Market Systems Director in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information exchange.
    • Monitoring and Evaluation: Support in monitoring project progress, collecting data, and evaluating outcomes to ensure project success and alignment with objectives.
    • Learning and Development: Continuously update your knowledge in market systems development and agriculture through training and professional development opportunities.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, economics, business, or related field.
    • Strong analytical and research skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
