Position Description

We are looking for a highly talented and passionate individual tlead the Marketing and Communications Department.

Specifically, this role is for you if:

Can manage and control the consistent and profitable growth of the entire HACportfoliby taking full charge of the HOMECARE, PERSONAL CARE, COSMETICS, AND PLASTICS categories.

Demonstrate the ability tguide the Category long term strategy, champion operational relations/communication with HACbusiness leaders and ensure yearlong plans are developed, implemented, and achieved both in Kenya and in Export markets.

Reporting directly tthe Managing Director and indirectly tthe Board, you will work closely with the other members of the management team tensure optimal use of Marketing resources.

Primary duties and responsibilities

1. Responsible for overall branding and image by effectively managing HACCorporate Communications and Customer Service.
2. Evaluating and developing HACmarketing strategies/plans.
3. Growth of Brand Equity.
4. Creative approach tdeveloping and enhancing consumer value.
5. Develop communication objectives and advertising ideas.
6. Generate the demand (pull) while the sales function satisfies the supply (Push).
7. Brand plan development.
8. Brand Communication strategy development (Comstrat)
9. Develop brand Blue Prints and Brand Positioning statements across the different brands.
10. Allocate budget by category and by market.
11. Implement approved marketing plans based on market conditions, strategy and return on investment (ROI).
12. Engage in the development of creative briefs and follow up through execution in relation tbrand objectives.
13. Development of sound pricing structures that optimise category financials.
14. Participate in the Demand Forecasting process tunderstand production lead times as well as raw material shipment lead times.
15. Champion new product development strategies aimed at innovation, enhancing quality and service level competitiveness.
16. Manage the relationship between HACand key stakeholders such as principals, third party agencies and external customers.
17. Develop and communicate HACO’s sustainability agenda.
18. Structured engagement with team members tdrive performance.
19. Instilling a collaborative culture in the Marketing department tfoster business results.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
2. MBA or relevant post graduate qualifications beneficial but not mandatory
3. Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya- In good standing.
4. Must have a minimum of 10 years of Marketing experience and 5 years of experience managing a team and being in a leadership role.
