Material Planner at Roam Electric

Position Overview.

We are looking for an experienced Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of materials for production, aftersales, and operations by analyzing demand forecasts, managing inventory, and coordinating with suppliers to prevent shortages or overstocking.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in material planning and procurement within a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage production parts, aftersales parts, and general operations parts.
• Collaborate and communicate with Operations and Engineering teams to identify parts needed for minimum inventory requirements and urgent orders and ensure the BOM is up to date.
• Work closely with the Aftersales logistics Manager and technicians for physical inventory audits, shipping, receiving, and logistic support.
• Monitor part coverage, track consumption trends, and execute/adjust orders as needed based on demand and capacity changes.
• Bring awareness in advance to critical inventory shortage and/or supply restraints; suggest and find alternative part and sourcing options.
• Work with procurement to issue RFQ for sourcing.
• Manage production orders, assembly orders, and purchase orders efficiently.
• Work seamlessly in a highly cross-functional and cross-cultural team environment, collaborating with manufacturing, production, product development teams, supply chain specialists, production engineers, and logistics personnel.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for the Roam Air Motorcycle while ensuring compliance with responsible sourcing practices.
• Collect and analyze data to understand cost drivers, considering raw material trends and macroeconomic factors.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Economics.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Material Planning or a similar role.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 or any other ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.
• Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong agility and multitasking abilities.
