Internship Programme

The Media Council of Kenya in partnership with media outlets, government departments and agencies, is implementing communication and media internship programme geared towards developing skills and preparing youth for the job market. The Internship Programme will also provide participants with an opportunity to gain workplace experience, expand knowledge and practical skills, refine career goals, and build professional networks.

Duration of the Internship

• The internship will last for Six (6) Months (January-June 2024). The Council will provide a monthly stipend for the interns' upkeep.

Requirements

• An internship application letter.
• A communication or journalism degree from a recognised university or a diploma from a college.
• Kenyan between 20 and 29 years of age.
• Academic transcripts.
• Valid 2023 MCK Press Card.
• Must have graduated within the last 2 years from the closing date of the advertisement.
• Applicants must provide a recommendation or reference letter from the university or college attended.
• Provide weblinks to your work and social media pages.
