    Regional People Leader

    Qualifications

    • University degree preferably in a field related to human resources, organizational behavior or related fields
    • 10+ years in senior, broad-based leadership roles
    • Experience within professional services and/or legal background preferred
    • Broad knowledge and experience across multiple people-related issues and processes (hiring, development, retention, evaluation, sensitive personnel issues, etc.)
    • Experience leading large and global teams and initiatives
    • Experience working in the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region preferred
    • Ability to act as strategic partner to the most senior executives
    • Client service orientation and propensity to build bridges
    • Excellent problem solver; analytical and rigorous in developing solutions to complex people and operational issues
    • Ability to exercise strong judgment in ambiguous situations
    • Compelling communicator with ability to concisely communicate ideas orally and in written form to all levels of audience
    • Ability to attract, develop (through coaching and mentorship), excite and retain high-performing talent
    • Good judgement, superb integrity, maturity and fairness in dealing with people
    • Sensitivity to/discretion in handling confidential information

    What You'll Do

    • You will develop people strategies, annual plans and prioritization for our Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
    • In this role, you will drive our people strategy, team building and execution across recruiting, HR, evaluation, professional development, learning, staffing, strategic talent planning, talent value proposition, affinity, diversity and inclusion, and team experience/effectiveness (the “Way We Work”). You will lead the organization through the next “S-curve” of our people strategies, priorities and capability building. You will implement the regional people strategy and play a key role in influencing and mobilizing the function to achieve the impact to which we aspire. You will contribute to shaping global people priorities and strategies working with the chief people officer as part of the global people leadership team. You will act as primary adviser on people issues to the EEMA regional leader as part of the EEMA regional leadership team. You will ensure that people function resources are hired, developed and deployed in the best way to deliver on EEMA priorities.
    • You will identify issues and opportunities relating to client service, our environment for unrivaled talent, the efficiency and effectiveness of core people processes (e.g., recruiting, staffing, strategic talent planning) and the firm’s health and performance. You will act as an effective people advocate and peer-level counselor with EEMA practice and office leaders, people partners, people committee chairs and the broader EEMA partnership. You will convene, sponsor (and/or co-sponsor with other global people function leaders) global people function initiatives as needed. You will provide support and regional insight to global cross functional teams and to global people functions/centers of excellence developing global strategies and policies. You will lead or participate in leadership of key events including Value Day, Day of Service, partner and other large-scale meetings.
    • You will steward implementation of new processes and systems that are leveraged globally. You will lead the day-to-day operations of and provide oversight to professional development, human resources, recruiting and learning teams dedicated to, and based in, EEMA’s performance cells. You will proactively identify and develop effective strategies for the attraction, development and retention for the most important talent pools for the EEMA practice’s success and growth. You will provide input on in-region service levels, opportunities for improvement, policy changes and other areas that are critical to ongoing success and high-quality service. You will play a strong role in implementing and driving change management of programs.
    • You will act as a strategic and operating thought-partner and adviser to the EEMA regional leader, office managers and senior cell leaders on EEMA performance and health, and all people related topics. You will effectively identify and manage people risks, raising related issues for further study and resolution. You’ll develop personal credibility with partners throughout EEMA as a partner-peer with sharp, pragmatic and integrative insight on people issues. You will mentor senior talent (partners, associate partners, others). You will foster a strong external network as well as ensure that the EEMA people strategy and functional capability is on par with external leading-edge best practices.
