Duties and Responsibilities

• This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under supervision of senior officers.
• Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/Hospital equipment, plants, Instrument and furniture’s requisitioning for spare parts and consumable taking inventory of medical/Hospital equipment, furniture’s and plants, collecting information for research ;collecting information on medical engineering services for input into the integrated Health Information Management system; carrying out minor repairs of health facilities ;and Implementing medical engineering programs and project.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;

•  Diploma in Medical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
•  Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution  must be a member of Association of Medical Engineering Kenya
