    Narok County Government was formed by the County Governments Act of 2012 as prescribed in the 2010 Constitution of Kenya. It is one of the 47 devolved units situated in the Great Rift Valley in the Southern part of the Country where it boarders the republic of Tanzania. Narok County has its headquarters in Narok Town, off Narok Nakuru Road. Narok County comprises of six (6) sub-counties namely: Narok North, Narok West, Narok East, Narok South, Transmara East and Transmara West.

    Mortician II (Morgue Attendant) - 4 Posts

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities at this level entails; picking bodies from wards; admission of bodies to mortuary; recording and documenting data; identifying medico-legal cases; preparing bodies for burial including embalming; body reconstruction; body cleaning and dressing; beautification-shaving, cosmetic/make-ups and plaiting; assisting pathologist in Autopsy/postmortems; cleaning of mortuary and equipment and instruments used in the mortuary; and assisting relatives in the identification of unknown bodies

    Requirements for Appointment
    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

    • Certificate in Mortuary Science lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution;
    • A registration certificate from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority;
    • A valid practicing licence from the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority;
    • Certificate in computer application will be an added advantage
