Satsang Mandal has had various charitable programs ongoing for decades including Jaipur Foot & Wheelchair, Jalaram Chakula Feeding Programme, Kanchan Ganga Borehole Water Project and many more. Dr. Rasik Kantaria Jalaram Medical Services was started on a humble beginning as an outpatient service in the year 2004.

     

    Neurology Technician

    JOB PURPOSE.

    • To provide high-quality technical and diagnostic support within the Neurology Clinic by performing and assisting with neurological investigations, ensuring the proper preparation of patients and equipment, accurate acquisition and documentation of diagnostic data, and efficient coordination of neurology-related procedures.
    • The Neurology Technician will work closely with neurologists, clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support accurate neurological assessments and investigations while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, comfort and adherence to professional and clinical standards.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

    Neurological Diagnostic Procedures.

    • Perform and assist with neurological diagnostic investigations, including Electroencephalography (EEG) and other neurophysiological procedures within the scope of practice, ensuring accurate acquisition of high-quality diagnostic data.

    Patient Preparation and Support.

    • Prepare patients for neurological investigations by providing appropriate information and instructions, confirming relevant clinical requirements, ensuring patient comfort, and addressing questions or concerns before and during procedures.

    Operation and Maintenance of Equipment.

    • Operate neurology and neurophysiological equipment safely and effectively, conduct routine equipment checks, identify technical faults and coordinate timely maintenance or repair where required.

    Clinical and Technical Support.

    • Provide technical assistance to neurologists and other clinicians during neurological investigations and procedures, ensuring that required equipment, materials and documentation are available and properly prepared.

    Documentation and Data Management.

    • Accurately record patient information, investigation details and technical findings, maintain proper documentation and ensure that neurological investigation records are complete, secure and readily accessible to authorised clinical personnel.

    Quality, Safety and Infection Prevention.

    • Adhere to approved clinical protocols, infection prevention and control measures, patient safety requirements and professional standards during all neurological investigations and procedures.

    Patient Experience and Confidentiality.

    • Maintain a professional, respectful and compassionate approach when interacting with patients and their families, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information throughout the diagnostic process.

    Unit Coordination and Continuous Improvement.

    • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Neurology Clinic by ensuring readiness of equipment and investigation rooms, maintaining adequate supplies, identifying operational challenges and supporting initiatives aimed at improving service quality and patient experience.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Diploma or Degree in Medical/Clinical Neurophysiology, Neurology Technology, or a related field from a recognised institution.
    • Relevant professional registration or licensing where applicable.
    • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in neurological investigations, neurophysiology, EEG or a related clinical setting.
    • Demonstrated practical experience in performing EEG and other neurophysiological investigations will be highly desirable.
    • Experience working in a hospital, specialist clinic or multidisciplinary healthcare environment will be an added advantage.

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Strong technical knowledge of neurological and neurophysiological investigations.
    • Demonstrated competence in EEG procedures and operation of relevant diagnostic equipment.
    • Good understanding of patient preparation, safety and infection prevention requirements.
    • Ability to accurately acquire, record and maintain diagnostic information and patient records.
    • Good troubleshooting and equipment-handling skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and clinical teams.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with neurologists and other healthcare professionals.
    • Strong commitment to patient confidentiality, safety and professional ethics.
    • Calm, compassionate and professional when dealing with patients, including those requiring specialised neurological care.
