News Anchor / Reporter at HorizonTV Kenya

Key Responsibilities

• Research, write and produce news stories.
• Conduct interviews and news stories.
• Reporting on events that are of interest to the public.
• Representing the organization at conferences, press briefings, events, and interviews.
• Use knowledge of social trends across to make informed decisions on upcoming stories.
• Ensuring a professional appearance, language use throughout reports.
• Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards

Qualifications

• A committed sunni Muslim
• A bachelor's degree or diploma in journalism and communications.
• Atleast 3 years working experience as a Anchor/ reporter in the busy newsroom.
• Strong presentation, writing and editing skills.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities and work with minimum supervision.
• Ethical and professional research and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to form and ask probing questions to interviewees.
• Passionate about the news and current events.
• High level of integrity and team work.
• Proficiency in English and Swahili
