Nursing Officer III (Psychiatric)

Job Description
- Delivers specialized mental health and psychiatric nursing care.
- Conduct initial mental health screenings and risk assessments.
- Respond to acute psychiatric or emotional crises.
- Administer prescribed psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with counselors and off-site mental health providers.
- Sensitize students, faculty and staff on mental health awareness.
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health and Psychiatry or equivalent).
- Valid registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- At least five (5) years relevant work experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Knowledge of ICT.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
