Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

• Implementing nutrition assessment;
• Collecting and compiling nutrition data;
• Providing nutrition health education and demonstration;
• Counseling of patients with specific nutritional needs;
• Monitoring preparation of therapeutic feeding programmes;
• Promoting maternal, infant and young children feeding programmes;
• Providing micronutrient supplementation;
• Performing any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment

• Diploma in Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from recognized institution;
• Registration by the Council of the Institute of Nutritionist and Dieticians [CIND]; and
• Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
