Chief Officer Agriculture – One (1) Post at Nyandarua County Assembly

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have:

• Kenyan citizenship;
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree recognised in Kenya;
• A Master’s degree will be an added advantage;
• Be a strategic thinker and results-oriented;
• Be a member of the Professional Body in the discipline;
• Proven experience of at least ten (10) years of service from a reputable organization, with at least five (5) years in a senior management position;
• Computer literacy
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of the Agriculture Division;
• Implementation of County Executive Committee resolutions as guided by the Executive Committee Member
• Formulate and implement effective Divisional Plans in line with the Vision2030, CIDP III and other Sectoral goals;
• Proper management and supervision of the human resources in the Division;
• Ensure efficient financial utilization and accountability in the Division;
• Ensure the provision of the equipment and tools of work;
• Planning and coordination of the Division’s activities;
• Develop, update and implement all Division’s policies and procedures;
• Create linkages and collaboration with other stakeholders in the field;
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of devolution and the County’s Vision;
• Ensure compliance with the National Values and Principles of good governance as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya
