Odoo Solutions Architect / Functional Consultant at Red Dot Distribution

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Odoo ERP modules—translating business needs into smart, scalable solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders across departments (Sales, Finance, Logistics, HR, etc.) to gather requirements and map workflows.
• Architect and document functional specifications, user journeys, and system flows to guide development teams.
• Serve as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and successful delivery.
• Perform gap analysis between current processes and best practices—driving optimization through Odoo, and particularly for a transition from SAP.
• Train users, conduct UAT sessions, and support post-deployment rollouts.
• Stay updated with the latest Odoo features and upgrades—advising the business on new capabilities and enhancements.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to prioritize, plan, and execute modules effectively.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Odoo implementation as a Solutions Architect or Functional Consultant.
• In-depth understanding of Odoo Enterprise modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, HR, etc.).
• Proven ability to translate business needs into functional specs and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of business processes across multiple functions (Finance, Operations, Logistics, etc.).
• Experience leading ERP deployments or major system rollouts.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Systems, or a related field.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Odoo.sh, Python basics, or SAP is a plus.
• Experience with SAP is a plus
• Ability to work on-site in Nairobi and engage cross-functional teams across regions.
