    Operations Officer

    Our client a distributor of beauty products seeks to hire an Operations Officer. The Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and operational effectiveness of the office. 

    Responsibilities and Duties

    1. Have oversight over all business operations 
    2. Oversee all operational and administrative processes
    3. Develop, implement and enforce office policies
    4. Review daily business performance and constantly report the status to management
    5. Manage resources and ensure accountability
    6. Provide leadership to the internal team
    7. Manage stock and inventory
    8. Ensure projects, tasks and activities are completed on time
    9. Ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
    10. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
    11. Recruit, train  employees and manage their performance
    12. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory registrations and certifications 
    13. In charge of vehicle maintenance and mileage
    14. Responsible for the import and export of products
    15. Lead in business development initiatives
    16. Manage suppliers, partners and other stakeholders.

    Required Specifications

    1. A Minimum of a  degree in a relevant field
    2. Minimum of 3 years experience in a retail setting
    3. Experience working with SMEs is highly desirable
    4. Experience managing mid and large teams
    5. Team management and leadership skills
    6. Strong project management and organizational skills.
    7. A confident, effective communicator, with strong emotional intelligence 
    8. Action-oriented, strong business acumen, strong customer focus 
    9. Advanced computer skills in MS Office, tech-savvy
    10. Numerical and data analysis skills
    11. Basic knowledge of financial principles like expenditure control, analysis and budgeting
    12. A quick learner, flexible, adaptable and creative
