Outreach Manager at Baraka Agriculture College

Key Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be required to efficiently manage Baraka Agriculture College outreach programs/projects. She/he will be responsible for capacity building of farmers in Sustainable Agriculture enterprises, developing funding proposals, initiating and designing community projects, evaluating and monitoring operational programs/projects and reporting. He/ She will be expected to collaborate with like-minded partners, agencies and individuals in the area of operation.

Key Requirements and Experience

• A degree graduate in Agriculture with Rural development/ Community development/extension or related field from a recognized University with 3 years' experience in the same field or Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture, community extension with more than 5 years' experience in similar job environment;
• Experience in participatory management and programme approaches;
• Excellent leadership skills, a team builder and player;
• Passionate and committed to empowering marginalized individuals and communities so
• that they can achieve decent livelihoods from available resources.
• Ability and experience in teaching/facilitation;
• Experience of working in a structured organization;
• Knowledge of financial management;
• Good analytical, writing, reporting and presentation skills;
• Experience in proposal development and programme/project management;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Must be computer literate, conversant with operating software applications; and
• Experience with donor community will be an added advantage.
• Skills in riding motorbike is an added advantage
