    Payroll Accountant (HRMS Implementation)

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a university graduate with good ICT background with Accounts Training Section III who understands the implementation of Payroll and Human Resources systems. The Candidate will learn our Human Resource System and assist the company's implementation for its client.

    Payroll Accountant implementation Responsibilities

    1. Process payments to staff promptly and accurately in line with set timelines and standards
    2. Remittance of statutory and other deductions in compliance to regulations and ensure NIL penalties
    3. Updating of NSSF statements effectively and dealing with arising queries appropriately
    4. Responsible for testing system and tax upgrades in line with payroll & internal policies
    5. Assist in developing reporting processes, procedures, and internal controls for the purpose of maintaining an efficient flow of payroll processes.
    6. Compile statistical and payroll data from a variety of sources e.g. payroll, salary adjustments, union dues, benefits, leave balances, tax deposits, etc. for the purpose of ensuring compliance to established guidelines.
    7. Identify discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.
    8. Effectively resolve discrepancies with payroll, benefit information and/or documentation to ensure accuracy of records and employee payments.
    9. Respond to inquiries regarding payroll procedures and provide necessary information required for making decisions
    10. Analyze and reconcile all payroll reports.

    Qualifications for the Payroll Accountant Job

    • A University degree in a business-related field
    • Professional HR qualification will be an added advantage
    • 2 -3 years experience in a busy HR environment
    • Proficient in Computer applications
    • Good working experience with ERP system -Oracle
    • CPA III qualification will be an added advantage
    • Good understanding of CBA & Labour Laws
    • Excellent statistical & analytical skills
    • Good interpersonal & communication skills

    Competencies

    • Must have Solid Organizational Skills, Accuracy, and attention to detail a must.
    • Demonstrate excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
