    Pharmaceutical Technologist

    Job Summary

    The Pharmaceutical Technologist will report to the Pharmacist in-charge and will be responsible for ensuring that the pharmacy assignments are executed in the highest standards possible as per the AGREE Trial study protocol, GCP and GPP guidelines. S/he must be flexible and work within the existing structure, in a professional and ethical manner with competence, accountability and integrity.

     Job Specification:

    • Dispensing prescribed medications and pharmaceutical preparations
    • Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients
    • Ordering and recording of drugs and other supplies;
    • Verifying and maintaining records relating to patients;
    • Custody and storing of drugs;
    • Ensuring that the working environment meets the stipulated requirements
    • Prepare pharmacy/drugs monthly reports

    Person Specification:

    • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
    • Registration Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons board;
    • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) - Added advantage
    • Proficiency in computer application
