    Physical Planner I

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:
    • Preparing physical development plans; undertaking feasibility studies on physical, social, economic and environmental characteristics;
    • Implementing County physical plans
    • Processing development applications; and
    • Maintaining physical planning records.

     Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this post, a candidate must : - 

    • Be Kenyan Citizen
    • Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Urban and Regional Planning/ Urban and Regional Planning / Town Planning from a recognized institution;
    • Be a graduate member of any of the following:  Kenya Institute of Planners /Architectural Association of Kenya / Town /County Planning Association of Kenya or equivalent and relevant recognized professional body
    • Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
    • Have a certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

    Method of Application

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    All applicants are expected to present the following additional documents during interviews for purpose of complying with the provision of Chapter Six of the Constitution

    • Tax compliance certificates
    • Clearance from HELB where necessary
    • Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission
    • Clearance from the CRB.
    • Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
