    Planning Officer

    Job Description
    The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:

    • Assisting in development and monitoring of the Council Work plan and budget tracking;
    • Writing and submitting reports on specific assignments;
    • Providing economic planning data;
    • Assisting in compiling performance contract reports from the departments and keeping records on performance contract targets;
    • Participating in the implementation of the preparation of strategic plan;
    • Researching on topical areas as may be directed within the department.

    Qualification and Experience

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Policy/Administration, Strategic Management or other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in Computer Application skills;
    • Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
