Security Analyst at Idar Groups Security Services Ltd

We are looking for an innovative AI-Driven EWER & Security Analyst to join our team in Nairobi. This is a unique contract position for 12 months, and we are looking for a professional who wants to integrate the worlds of AI, data analytics, and security risk management. The Security Analyst position will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting security, political, and crisis events using AI tools, as well as traditional security analysis techniques. This role contributes to our early warning/early response program, command center operations, and provides accurate, credible, reliable, timely as well as actionable analysis that fosters risk resilience in highly volatile operating environments.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Preferably a Bachelor's in any of the following fields; Peace & Conflict Studies, Security Risk Management, or International Relations. The applicants are to demonstrate a strong training background and working knowledge in data analytics and AI tools.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python/R/Java, ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow), NLP, and GIS mapping tools.
• Experience: 2-5 years in Peacebuilding, Conflict Analysis, Security Risk Management, Data Analytics within Public, Corporate or Humanitarian sector.
• Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Kenyan and East African Political, Security and Conflict landscape is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, outstanding ICT, communication, report writing and GIS skills as well as the ability to work with composure under pressure.
