    Plant Operator III

    REF KFS/POIII/2022 

    Job Specification

    An officer at this level shall report to Transport officer/Relevant Engineering Officer.

    Duties and responsibilities

    1. Operate machines of ‘difficult rating’ C;
    2. Assist in machine attendants to identify possible breakdowns;
    3. Liaise with mechanics for servicing;
    4. Make daily and weekly oil checks; and
    5. Maintain cleanliness of the plant.
    6. Promote public values and principles
    7. Mentoring and coaching

    Person Specifications

    1. Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade ‘D’ plain
    2. Passed the Suitability Test for Plant Operators Grade III.
    3. Possess a valid driving license free from current endorsements for classes of machine(s) that one may be required to operate.
    4. Be able to operate at least two (2) Plants of ‘difficult rating’ C.
    5. Have attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or the Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution.
    6. Valid certificate of good conduct.
    7. Proficiency in Computer applications

The hard copy application should clearly indicate the position and reference number. Attach current curriculum vitae (clearly indicating the mobile number, names and contact details of three referees), copies of relevant testimonials, academic and professional certificates and copy of national identity card.

    The application should clearly be marked with reference number for each position and should either be sent through the post office or hand delivered to the following address in a sealed envelope marked “APPLICATION FOR (WRITE POSTION & REFERENCE); so as to reach the Service not later than 11th July, 2022 by 5.00pm.

    NB: The application will not be considered complete until the two steps are successfully undertaken. Further, email applications shall not be considered.
