Job Requirement

A person shall be qualified for appointment as Principal Counsel if; -

• They possess a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from a recognized university.
•  Must have served satisfactorily as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for at least five years.
• Must be a practicing Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing.
• Demonstrate competence in Government transactions.
• Demonstrate understanding of public procurement.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in conveyancing (practice and procedure)
•  Meets the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

Job Description

• Handling complex commercial transactions.
• Offering legal advice on Public Procurement and Public Private Partnerships to County Sectors and entities.
• Drafting contracts and agreements for and on behalf of county sectors.
• Witnessing the sealing and signing of agreements and contracts.
• Negotiating, vetting and interpreting agreements for and on behalf of the County Executive and its agency.
