QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for appointment:-

• Degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance or related field from a recognized Institution;
• A master degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage;
• Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than five (5) years;
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge in use of Monitoring and Evaluation tools;

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Providing technical support to the county department of Finance and Economic Planning;
• Planning and other key stakeholders on economic planning issues.
• Supervise officers in his/her division and monitor projects across the department;
• Present findings through original published reports, articles, presentations, and other documentation on economic development for the county;
• Collaborate with public and private entities to acquire new data, assist in the
• Development of data gathering tools including surveys and questionnaires, acquisition of administrative data sets, and compilation of data from various data sources for use in research and statistical analysis;
• Apply knowledge of research methods and design in the social and behavioural sciences to create innovative, routine, and complex research studies;
• Collect and present statistical data in form of survey reports and bulletin to inform the public on economic status of the County;
• Coordinate budget preparation; and
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets
