    Principal Planning Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities will entail:

    • Monitoring systems for the performance of the Corporation;
    • Participating in preparing Corporation’s input in national and sectoral planning processes;
    • Participating in setting out project and programs objectives;
    • Analyzing of economic data on corporations’ programmes and projects;
    • Preparing and carrying out research studies for Corporation’s business
    • Preparing statistical forecasts for long term infrastructural planning.
    • Identifying key market drivers affecting the organization;
    • Developing the department’s Work plan and budget;
    • Developing and implementing resource mobilization strategies;
    • Evaluating and reviewing the implementation of the Strategic Plan, Performance Contract;

    Job Specification

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • At least five (8) years’ work experience, three (3) years’ of which must have been in a supervisory role.
    • Masters degree in Economics, Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Statistics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Statistics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.
