Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities entail;
- Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans and prepare quarterly implementation status reports;
- Coordinating procurement and disposal activities;
- Providing input into the annual procurement and disposal plans;
- Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans;
- Coordinating procurement and disposal activities;
- Preparing contract documents for goods, works and services;
- Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;
- Providing secretariat to committee’s incidental to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;
- Overseeing periodic and annual stocktaking exercise;
- Coordinating disposal of assets activities;
- Preparing draft statutory reports to PPRA;
- Preparing contract documents for goods, works and services;
- Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;
- Providing secretariat services to committees incidental to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;
- Overseeing periodic and annual stocktaking exercise;
- Coordinating disposal of assets activities; and
- Preparing statutory reports to PPRA, EACC, and National Treasury.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- At least eight (8) years relevant work experience and at least three (3) years in supervisory role in a position in the public or private;
- Masters’ degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
- Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
- Have a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Be Member of KISM or its equivalent in good standing;
- Hold a practicing license of KISM in good standing;
- Have Demonstrated results in work performance; and
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
