    Procurement Assistant

    JOB POSITION: PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT
    REPORTING TO: HEAD OF PROCUREMENT
    CATEGORY: JUNIOR MANAGERIAL POSITION
    REF NO: IHR-REC-012 -1182022-PA
    LOCATION: NAIROBI

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    The Procurement Assistant shall perform administrative procurement duties and provide support in professional and effective service delivery for inventory management and supply of materials, services and consumables required by the company.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Receive goods from suppliers after quality and quantity checks for compliance with LPO’s, and raising a goods received note (GRN) and invoice posting.
    2. Coordinate the inspection process of received items/goods from suppliers and ensure expeditious release to respective user department.
    3. Analyze Stock level for stock replenishment.
    4. Monthly physical stock take and General ledger reconciliation.
    5. Compile and analyze monthly companywide material transfers.
    6. Evaluate and process requests from user units and issuance of goods.
    7. Keep custody of fuel cards, fueling of vehicles and generate reports on consumption per vehicle.
    8. Tag all new assets and preparation of a tagging report.
    9. Give feedback to users on the status of their requests.
    10. Liaise with vendors to expedite supply the goods or services as per the LPO.
    11. Verifying invoice payment checklist by ensuring that all necessary support document are attached to facilitate payments.
    12. Participate in Request for Quotation/Request for Proposals/Tender opening process.
    13. Assist to evaluate Request for Quotations/Tenders/ Request for Proposal (where applicable) and preparation of price analysis/evaluation reports

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience:
     At least a Diploma in Procurement / Supply Chain Management.
     At least two years’ experience in a similar role.
     Proficiency in Computer Applications.
