Product Development Manager at ICEA Lion Group

The Product Development Manager will be responsible for leading the multifunctional product development team that is charged with the developing and launching of new products and reviewing of existing products. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring the Company’s product portfolio is at all times aligned with the Company’s strategic pillars, brand vision and values.</p>

Responsibilities

• Liaising with research and development team in collecting data on consumer needs in the business identified customer segments.
• Designing, developing products and solutions that address customer needs as identified by research.
• Preparing and presenting business cases for the proposed products to meet customer needs.
• Coordinating with the Underwriting and Reinsurance teams to ensure the products meet the Company’s underwriting standards and the necessary reinsurance support
• Coordinating with the Claims team to ensure the business has the necessary infrastructure to service claims from these new products.
• Coordinating with underwriting team to ensure the new products get the necessary regulatory approvals
• Coordinating, listening and participating in discussions with the regional teams to evaluate product ideas to ensure product designs meet the needs of the business, market demand and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinating with the Marketing and Communication team in developing a cost effective launch and marketing program for the new products.
• Conducting, through the Research and Partnership team research/feedback on the continued acceptance of the existing product portfolio by the intended customer segments.
• Designing new packaging, revisions and customization on existing products to suit changed client needs and expectations.
• Learning about the company’s products and processes,
• Participate in the development and review of corporate long term and short term

Skills & Experience Requirements:

• At least 4 - 6 years’ experience in product development position in a relevant organization.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in business or related discipline from a reputable University.
• Master’s in business related course is an added advantage.
• Professional qualification(s) in project Management.
