Production Supervisor at Emat For Investment LTD

Job Purpose

• The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production operations in the factory, ensuring that all processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising the production team, managing resources, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing production output to meet company targets.

Key Responsibilities

 Production Planning and Coordination:

•  Coordinate and schedule production activities to ensure that production targets are met in a timely manner.
•  Monitor the daily production processes and ensure that production schedules are adhered to.
•  Communicate with the production team to ensure they have the resources and materials needed for their tasks.
•  Optimize production processes by minimizing downtime, improving efficiency, and reducing waste.

Team Supervision and Leadership:

•  Supervise a team of production operators and assistants, providing guidance and direction to ensure smooth operations.
• Train and mentor production staff on equipment usage, safety protocols, and quality standards.
•  Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and recommend training opportunities to improve team performance. Ensure that staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and working efficiently.

Quality Control and Compliance:

• Ensure that all products are manufactured according to quality standards and specifications.
• Perform regular inspections of production output and processes to identify any defects or quality issues.
• Work with the quality control team to implement corrective actions when production issues arise.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations during all production activities.

Resource Management and Inventory Control:

• Ensure that raw materials, chemicals, and production resources are available and properly stored to prevent shortages or contamination.
• Track material usage and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Report on raw material consumption and assist with the ordering of materials to ensure no production delays.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of production equipment, machinery, and tools.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Management:

• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures, conducting regular safety checks, and promoting a culture of safety.
• Ensure all workers wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
• Respond to safety concerns and incidents promptly, conducting investigations and reporting findings.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management, emissions, and factory operations.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor production performance through key performance indicators (KPls) such as efficiency, output quality, and adherence to schedules.
• Prepare and submit regular production reports to senior management, highlighting production output, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Identify trends in production performance and suggest improvements to optimize processes.

Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

• Identify production bottlenecks and address issues related to machinery, materials, or labor.
• Resolve any production-related issues promptly to avoid delays or quality problems.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure that any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns are addressed quickly.

Continuous Improvement:

• Encourage and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Suggest new techniques or technologies to improve production efficiency or product consistency.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to optimize production workflows.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and chemical safety regulations.
•  Knowledge of quality control and inventory management systems.Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, production software).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
