    Program Office - Communications Department

    The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Program Officer– Communications, in implementing communication strategies and drafting and editing of media releases and other communications material.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Keep under review the information and communications strategy, corporate identity and branding;
    • In consultation with LSK staff, develop and disseminate advocacy and other publicity materials to promote the image and the work of LSK among its key audiences;
    • Collect and collate information, prepare and oversee production of newsletter, magazine and journals of LSK;
    • Assist in developing mechanisms for strengthening communication with regional law societies, affiliate institutions and partners;
    • Develop media strategies to strengthen the partnership with LSK;
    • Keep under review corporate identity and branding;
    • Assist in organizing LSK events and corporate social responsibility activities; and
    • Assist in Media monitoring of the LSK’s mandate, events and activities on online, print and broadcast media.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field;
    • Relevant experience as a Communications Specialist, Communications Assistant or a similar role;
    • Strong design, composition, and typography skills;
    • Ability to work independently on developing designs and graphics;
    • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Applications (Specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat); and
    • Experience in using software and tools such as Adobe Sparks, Canva/Stencil, MailChimp, Hootsuite/Sprout social and Google Analytics.
