    Programs & Technical Writing Coordinator

    • The Programs & Technical Writing Coordinator will be responsible for developing high-quality technical documents (such as proposals, briefs, and scopes of work), coordinating grant writing efforts, managing program-related activities (including partnerships, training, and consulting), and supporting the business development (BD) team through outreach and affiliate initiatives. This role also involves organizing webinars, visiting potential partner organizations, and developing internal systems to streamline the programs department.

    Responsibilities

    • Proposal and Grant Writing: Write clear, persuasive, and tailored proposals and grants for health-related projects, ensuring alignment with funding requirements.
    • Research Funding Opportunities: Identify potential funding sources and opportunities within the health sector, including government grants, foundations, and corporate sponsorships.
    • Collaboration and Partnership Building: Foster strong relationships with funding bodies, stakeholders, and partners to enhance collaboration and secure funding.
    • Proposal Development: Develop and manage the proposal process, from concept through submission, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and requirements.
    • Editing and Proofreading: Review and refine proposal drafts, ensuring they are well-organized, accurate, and free of errors.
    • Monitoring Deadlines: Track proposal submission deadlines, ensuring all documents are submitted on time and in the correct format.
    • Reporting: Assist in writing narrative reports for funders, providing updates on project progress and impact.
    • Program Coordination: Oversee and coordinate daily program activities related to partnerships, training, and consulting services. Liaise with cross-functional teams (finance, communications, etc.) to ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget. Develop and maintain program documentation, including work plans, activity trackers, and progress reports.
    • Event & Webinar Management: Plan and organize webinars, virtual workshops, and other training events. Coordinate marketing and outreach for these events to maximize participation. Collaborate with subject matter experts and guest speakers to produce high-quality, impactful sessions.
    • Business Development Support: Accompany the BD team to visit organizations, partners, and prospective clients to explore new collaboration or funding opportunities. Assist in creating presentations, pitches, and other materials to support BD efforts. Provide follow-up documentation or proposals after external meetings.
    • Affiliate & Systems Development: Work on affiliate-related initiatives, cultivating relationships that expand the organization’s network and reach. Develop or refine internal systems and processes for the programs department to improve efficiency. Train program staff on newly created systems, ensuring consistency and understanding across the team.
    • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, summarizing key milestones, deliverables, and challenges. Maintain organized records of all program and BD activities, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Education: A degree in Public or Community Health or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal and grant writing, specifically in the health sector.
    • Writing Skills: Strong ability to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals and grant applications.
    • Research: Proficient in researching funding opportunities within the health sector and understanding donor requirements.
    • Collaboration: Skilled in fostering collaborations and managing relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Attention to Detail: Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure high-quality submissions.
    • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and proposal management tools.
