    Project Assistant, Peace and Conflict Sensitivity (PCS)

    The Project Assistant PCS will provide administrative, logistical, and technical support to the PCS Project Lead and program teams. This includes assisting with conflict analysis activities, organizing training sessions, supporting documentation and reporting, and helping coordinate stakeholder engagement processes. The role is designed to strengthen the operational delivery of PCS initiatives and ensure smooth implementation across landscapes.

    Responsibilities

    • Program Support and Coordination
    • Assist in organizing and scheduling PCS-related activities, meetings, and workshops.
    • Support the implementation of PCS tools and guidance in collaboration with program teams.
    • Help compile and format conflict analysis and stakeholder mapping data.
    • Maintain records of PCS activities and ensure timely documentation.
    • Capacity Building and Learning
    • Provide logistical support for training sessions and learning events.
    • Assist in preparing training materials, presentations, and handouts.
    • Help document lessons learned and feedback from participants.
    • Support internal knowledge-sharing platforms and learning initiatives.
    • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
    • Assist in collecting and organizing data for PCS indicators.
    • Support the preparation of progress reports and knowledge products.
    • Help monitor risks and flag emerging issues for follow-up.
    • Partnership and Communication
    • Coordinate communication with partners and stakeholders for PCS-related activities.
    • Support the development of communication materials, case studies, and success stories.
    • Assist in preparing inputs for proposals and donor reports.

    Expected Deliverables

    • Logistical and administrative support provided for PCS activities across landscapes.
    • Training sessions and workshops successfully coordinated.
    • PCS documentation and reports compiled and submitted on time.
    • Communication materials and knowledge products developed with input from the PCS team.

    Requirements and skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Development Studies, Environmental Governance or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in peacebuilding, social development or conservation support roles.
    • Project management experience is desired.
    • Experience in supporting training, documentation and stakeholder engagement.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data management tools.
    • Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., French, Swahili) are an advantage.
