Project Officer at Action Aid

Main purpose

The job holder shall be responsible for better coordination of AAIK mission delivery at the LRP level through partnerships, movement building and collaborations at county level implementing the Zero Violence project in Garissa county. This project seeks to advance the rights of women, girls and the LGBTIQ community to challenge violence against them through policy and advocacy led by their movements and alliances.

Minimum Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, policy development or its equivalent from a recognized University;
• At least Three (3) years’ minimum working experience
• Experience in community mobilization and engagement with government at State and local levels is essential
• Experience in social mobilization and campaigns is essential
• Experience working with women groups and persons with disabilities is desirable
• Understanding of different donor requirements and ways of working.
