Project Officer - Waste to Work/Kilimanjaro Initiative Project at Voluntary Service Overseas

Role overview

• Facilitate and support day-today implementation of Waste to Work project and the Kilimanjaro Initiative activities in Nairobi County.

Ideal Applicant Summary
Knowledge/qualifications:

• A diploma or relevant degree preferably in social sciences, environmental studies, business, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Knowledge on youth employment and empowerment programmes
• Possess a knowledge of environmental matters, waste and resources policy, and a broad view of the industry at large.

Experience, Skills/Abilities:

• At least 3 years’ experience working in youth employment and entrepreneurship programmes in an NGO or community-based organisations in informal settlements in Nairobi.
• Proven ability of communicating at various levels within and between organisations depending on audience and content of the message.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Experience in M&E
• Volunteer Management
• Good facilitation and coaching skills
