QA Engineer at Kasha Kenya

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

Your Job Description Will Be:

• Perform manual and automated tests of our web and mobile apps according to provided test scripts.
• Create test scripts on the basis of functional specifications and training session materials.
• Analyze log files and debug outputs, compare outputs with provided successful examples and thus identify possible errors and failures.
• Use Postman to simulate requests to remote servers and analyze the output.
• Work with automation tools, specifically those which allow recording of a sequence of actions that can be then played or run repetitively.
• Work with a ticketing system to report found bugs.
• Evaluating the user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX).
• Documenting data, and reporting all the findings to the software developers.

You Will Be Qualified For This Position If You:

• Understanding of client-server architecture.
• Experience with data structures in XML and JSON formats.
• Experience with environments for app execution (simulators, engines).
• Experience with maintenance of Android devices (system upgrades, cleanup, installations).
• Experience with performance measurement tools (memory, CPU, connection speed, etc).
• Knowledge of JS, PHP, Python, and SQL is not necessary but will be helpful.
• Good command of English both written and spoken.
