QHSE (Entry Level) at Bridge Talent Management

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QHSE Officer (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) to join our team in Kisumu. The successful candidate will assist in  the implementation and enforcement of quality, health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards in our FMCG operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing QHSE policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct routine quality checks and inspections on production processes to maintain product quality and safety.
• Support workplace safety programs by identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards in production, storage, and distribution areas.
• Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and reporting safety concerns.
• Conduct safety training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a culture of health and safety.
• Maintain and update QHSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Assist in ensuring environmental sustainability practices are adhered to within the company’s operations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Food Science, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Basic knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001) is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in Kenya.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
