Quality Control at Pipe Masters and Plastics Limited

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to ensure that construction projects meet established quality standards and specifications. The role involves rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation to maintain the highest levels of construction quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• The preparation of the company QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions
• Control and distribution of all the company quality documentation
• Monitor all quality-related activities on the project
• Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and sub-contractor documentation submittals.
• Review the work of sub-contractors and issue the NCR for internal noncompliance and site observations to sub-contractors and the site construction team.
• Develop the method statement for construction works on site and review the method statement from time to time prior to starting the work on site.
• Attend to  client quality management meetings
• The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
• Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
• Monitor the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports.
• Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system.
•  Recommend and implement improvements when required.
• Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the Assist the site QS manager in the organization, maintenance and control of the quality system.
• Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the procurement manager
• Coordinate all quality-related correspondence with the customer’s representatives.
• Preparation of QA/QC periodic reports.
• Conduct regular site surveillance.
• Action and promptly close all customer complaints
• Control all archive documents upon the completion of the project.

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance/QC Specialist or similar role
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance
• Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills in Swahili and |English
• Strong attention to detail
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Assurance Specialist
