    Quality Management Executive - East Africa

    The jobholder ensures and oversees the implementation of quality objectives and compliance to BDF Quality Management Systems in East Africa This position is fully responsible for ensuring compliance of products to all quality and safety related Beiersdorf and local legal requirements, processes and systems defined to guarantee consumer satisfaction, safety, and customer compliance
    Quality Management Process Activities

    • Follow safety and quality-related instructions and address deviations to superior.
    • Ensure Quality Management System is developed, implemented, documented, and reviewed, according to regional/local regulations.
    • Perform regular/ release audits to support the local process that is in place for management, monitoring and internal controls according to BDF Warehouse global standards.
    • Ensure that products currently sold in respective EA market comply with BDF quality standard and release such products in SAP system.
    • Ensure the effective trade complaints management process for on time response, root cause investigation and closure through SMARTSOLVE.
    • Report and follow up on product complaints with manufacturing sites, customers, and commercial teams and sharing feedback to the relevant stakeholder.
    • Being a key user of SMARTSOLVE responsible for driving deployment and execution with support of global teams and a contact person in managing complaints non- conformances, corrective actions, change controls and audits action tracking.
    • ensure effective product incident process is in place to escalate and manage any product quality related issues an example product recall.
    • overseeing VAS activities ensuring product quality requirements are met and releasing VAS products under quality inspection.
    • Implement QoS (Quality on Shelf) according to Global Design and carry out training and awareness.
    • Ensure compliance of Advertising Items according to the Global Quality Standard
    • Ensure quality related activities such as inspection, release, non-conformity handling, blocking, relabelling, returns and disposal of materials and/or products by means of documented SOPs.
    • Train all internal and external stakeholders on the QM

    Your Profile

    • Minimum of graduation in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Packaging Engineering or chemical engineering and Graduate in Computer Science or Applied Science.
    • Minimum of 3 year working Experience in similar role within the FMCG sector
    • Department cross communication & coordination skills
    • High sense for quality, sustainability & reliability
    • Analytical and accurate approach, with creativity to improve ways of working.
    • Excellent user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • High motivation and interest to work in an international team.
    • Interest to develop further in quality and Supply Chain functions.
