Recovery Officer at CIC Insurance

PURPOSE:

Initiate actions and follow up payment/refund of claims to/from third party insurers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Register and follow up of all third-party recoveries with insurance companies within a reasonable time to ensure the matters are not time barred
• Maintain an up-to-date records for both outstanding and recovered matters.
• Facilitate issuance of initial demand letters to third parties and/or their insurers.
• Document and quantify all recovery claims due to third parties/ insurance companies.
• Document and quantify all recovery claims paid to the third parties and other insurance companies.
• Negotiate all recovery claims with third-party insurers and ensure prompt settlement of validated cases.
• Appoint investigators for tracing of third party legal/beneficial owners of third party vehicles for recovery purposes.
• Ensure timely settlement of all third party claims that fall under the Knock for Knock agreement.
• Actioning all the relevant incoming correspondences via email and mails
• Achieve the set monthly recovery targets.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Professional Qualifications

• IIK or ACII (Progress)

Experience

• Up to two (2) years’ relevant experience
