    Regional Supply Chain Strengthening Coordinator

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    You will focus on strengthening our Country Office (CO) Supply Chain function through a continuous improvement approach; ensuring that our processes are efficient, and we are providing effective and quality support in a timely way to meet the needs of our project participants and create lasting change.

    To do this, you will work closely with the Regional Supply Chain Specialist (RSCS) to focus on the country’s overall performance and functional capabilities, as well as the ability of the organisation to adapt to change with an agile Supply Chain through:

    • Assessing their structure, capacity, skills and knowledge of business processes,
    • Supporting the implementation of improvement plans,
    • Monitoring progress to improve the Country’s overall performance against our core metrics and KPIs and supporting with reporting requirements,
    • Providing training and support as required,
    • Working with Countries to make best use of our ERP system (SAP)  
    • Possibility to be deployed at the request of Country Offices to provide hands on support in setting up supply chain standards and across supply chain focus areas as per needs identified. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides technical leadership and support to strengthen country office supply chain functions by conducting assessments, identifying gaps, supporting recruitment and team restructuring, driving continuous improvement initiatives, building staff capacity, and delivering in-country or virtual supply chain support in coordination with the Regional Supply Chain Specialist (RSCS).   
    • Supports regional supply chain knowledge sharing and capacity building by coordinating Communities of Practice and workshops, promoting collaboration and best practices, and enhancing understanding of strategic supply chain management among Regional Hub and Country Office leadership teams.   
    • Ensures compliance with our Supply Chain Operations Manual and supports ERP system use through training and 1:1 support as needed: Support supply chain capability development by identifying training needs, delivering and improving SAP MM and Power BI training, developing user support materials, promoting data quality and accurate reporting, and facilitating the rollout of new processes, tools, and templates through training and awareness sessions.  
    • Drives effective adoption and utilization of SAP ERP and supply chain systems by serving as the regional subject matter expert, providing user support and troubleshooting, promoting data quality and data-driven decision-making, supporting fleet management systems, assisting with system access and approvals, and enabling country offices to effectively use SAP MM and Power BI reporting tools.  
    • Plan International has a robust global policy for Safeguarding and PII policy for Preventing Sexual Harassment Exploitation and Abuse; and Gender Equality and Inclusion principles and Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to your area of responsibility. You will therefore have a responsibility to adhere and enforce adherence of staff and associates within your sphere of responsibility.    
    • You will be trusted to take on additional assignments within the scope of work as assigned by your supervisor on need basis.

    What we are looking for:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
    • Professional membership to a Supply chain management body eg. CIPS level 5, KISM etc
    • At least 5 years of practical hands-on experience in cross functional supply chain management
    • Expert knowledge of supply chain management and significant experience in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with International NGOs.
    • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, approaches, tools, methodologies, and organisational learning, that is up to date with best practices in the sector. 
    • Strong understanding of the realities of INGO supply chain and limitations that impact project implementation, financial control, monitoring, reporting, evaluation and learning. 
    • Understanding of critical supply chain components around procurement planning, sourcing, buying and fleet management.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems (specifically SAP Materials Management (MM) module), fleet management systems (e.g., TracPoint) and Power BI with a focus on user adoption and data quality. Experience with user support, basic troubleshooting, and guiding effective utilisation for data-driven decisions. Ability and experience to deliver engaging training (virtual/in-person) on business processes, SAP MM and Power BI.
    • Direct experience working with multicultural and multi-sector teams in at least two different countries.
