QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for Appointment: -

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
• Membership of a relevant professional body;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and responsibilities: -

• Carry out history taking, examine, diagnose, treat, manage diseases and conditions on outpatient and outpatients in Health Facilities;
• Sensitize patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;
• Carry out surgical procedures as per training and skills;
• Guide and counsel patients, clients and staff on health issues;
• Asses, prepare and present medico- Legal reports;
• Collect and compile clinical data and submit report are required;
• Plan and conduct Community Health Care activities;
• Coach and mentor students attached to hospitals and health Centres; and
• Supervise and counsel staff engaged in routine Patients’ care and give support and health education to patients.
