    Research Assistant - Kajiado County - 4 Posts

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with colleagues and study coordinator to deliver research activities.
    • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources.
    • Assist with data quality checks and data management.
    • Prepare individual work progress reports.
    • Comply with policies on ethical conduct of research and human subjects’ protection.
    • Carry out any other duties commensurate with experience, which may be assigned from time to time.

    Vacancy Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Applied Sciences, Public Health, Social Science, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.    Mandatory
    • At least two (2) years post-graduate work experience in a relevant research-related position.    Mandatory
    • Competency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.     Mandatory
    • Fluency in English, Kiswahili, required. Maasai Language is an added advantage.    Added Advantage
    • Experience in qualitative research methods is an added advantage.    Added Advantage
    • Experience with management and processing of qualitative data is an added advantage    Added Advantage
    • Familiarity with electronic data collection tools is an added advantage.    Added Advantage
    • Ability and willingness to work anywhere in Kajiado County.    Mandatory
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.    Mandatory
    • Ability to work independently and effectively.    Mandatory
    • Ability to interact with study participants in a culturally sensitive manner.    Mandatory
    • Well-developed troubleshooting capacity and clarity of thought.    Mandatory
    • Strong organization skills to meet tight deadlines.    Mandatory
