    Research Assistant - Rachuonyo

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Understand the study design and objectives to assist in the successful implementation of the study testing activities
    • Screen, recruit, and consent study participants
    • Offer HIV testing to study participants in the clinic setting as per the MOH algorithm
    • Intervention delivery (at baseline enrollment and via SMS messaging)
    • Implementation of study questionnaires and standard operating procedures,
    • Follow up participants for retesting in the study
    • Participant endpoint ascertainment, and training facility staff on study requirements
    • Provide information and support to study participants
    • Communicate with the Study Coordinator and other HODs regularly on study progress
    • Ensure compliance to protocol and procedures for the study
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of HIV testing progress as per study protocol
    • Works in a professional and ethical manner with competence, accountability and integrity
    • Other duties as assigned by the Study Coordinator

    Vacancy Requirements:

    • Diploma in Social Sciences, Public Health, Counselling, Community Development or related fields    Mandatory
    • Computer proficient with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.    Mandatory
    • Must be keen and attentive to details and have ability to follow instructions and procedures properly.    Mandatory
    • Excellent written and verbal communication required.    Mandatory
    • Must be non-judgmental and flexible to mix with all cadres of people    Mandatory
    • Prior knowledge of HTS provision is desired    Mandatory
    • Must have good interpersonal skills, flexible and a team player.    Mandatory
    • Training on current HIV testing algorithm is an added advantage.    Added Advantage
    • Ability to ride a motorbike, with possession of a valid riding license will be an added advantage.    Added Advantage
