Restaurant Supervisor at Nexus Staffing Solutions

A growing hospitality establishment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi is looking for a hands-on and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to support the smooth running of daily restaurant operations.

The successful candidate will supervise the restaurant team, maintain service standards, support customer satisfaction and ensure that daily operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff during daily operations. 
• Ensure customers receive professional, efficient and friendly service. 
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming and conduct. 
• Coordinate front-of-house activities and ensure smooth service flow. 
• Monitor cleanliness, hygiene and general presentation of the restaurant. 
• Support proper handling of customer orders and service issues. 
• Respond to customer complaints and ensure appropriate resolution. 
• Monitor stock usage and report shortages or operational concerns. 
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to minimise delays and errors. 
• Ensure staff follow established operational procedures. 
• Support opening and closing procedures. 
• Monitor staff performance and provide day-to-day guidance. 
• Escalate significant operational or employee issues to management. 
• Support management in maintaining efficient restaurant operations. 

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should:

• Have previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, food-service or hospitality environment. 
• Demonstrate strong team supervision and customer-service skills. 
• Be confident managing staff in a busy service environment. 
• Have good communication and problem-solving skills. 
• Be organised, responsible and hands-on. 
• Be comfortable working shifts, weekends and public holidays where required. 
• Demonstrate an understanding of hospitality service standards and workplace hygiene.
