Roads Maintenance Superintendent at SonySugar Limited

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

• Planning, designing and implementing all roads repair, maintenance and construction works within the company and outgrowers region;
• Ensuring timely repairs and maintenance of water drainage structures within the company premises;
• Preparing specifications and oversee execution of construction of key roads structures such as side drains, bridges, box culverts and drop structures;
• Managing road construction Machines and equipment;
• Ensuring Compliance with all NTSA and OSHA requirements during roads construction, repair or maintenance works.
• Maintaining proper inventory for all road works machines, equipment and tools;
• Preparing plan for all road works materials and other consumables;
• Ensuring the right tools, equipment and Machines are availed in all roads work activities;
• Identifying, planning and initiating procurement process of materials and other supplies required for routine and periodic sugar roads repair and maintenance;
• Ensuring that contracted road works to third parties meets specifications;
• Ensuring management and operations within all quarries and burrow pits comply with regulatory requirements.

Person Specification /Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Five (5) years relevant work experience
• Computer Literacy
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
